A Korean Pizza Parlor is set to open in NYC’s East Village (according to Emma Orlow at Eater).
Appas Pizza, a “Korean pizza parlour”, is opening in the East Village. The new spot, located at 210 First Avenue, between 12th and 13th streets comes from Linda Wang’s Ume Hospitality, which currently operates eight restaurants in New York City, including Ume Williamsburg, Sushi Nikko, and Sekai Omakase. — Eater
If you’re into the “list” sort of thing - Yelp recently released a list of their top ranked US and Canada pizza spots. Here’s Yelp’s top-5 and more info on how they ranked the list:

Legendary NYC pizza shop - Joe’s Pizza - is expanding to Boston according to Ericka Adams at Eater Boston. Owner Joe Puzzoli was born in Boston so this is a sort of homecoming for Joe’s Pizza.
