Wrapping up Memorial Day & Monday Scaries
Shake the Sunday Monday scaries and think pizza! We share three ways to make you feel better about tomorrow
Many of you probably inaugurated the summer over a grill, by a pool, and with a beer in hand. That’s all well and good, but what to do now with the 3-day weekend winding down? The flight to comfort: pizza.
You’ve just had the time of your life, and you’re now setting your alarm clocks for work tomorrow. Summer is staring you in the face, but 9am on Tuesday is sliding in front of Juneteenth, the 4th of July, and summer break.
Fear not, Bob’s Pizza Tour is here to provide some inspiration with three novel and innovative ideas to overcome the dread and depression setting in.
Order Pizza Delivery
Pick Up Pizza
Make Your Own Pizza
Ou first option means checking some of your apps. I am not much for delivery since I like to get the pies fresh out of the oven, but I am certainly not knocking the merits of delivery. Check out some different apps.
Pizza is probably the most classic, standard, and respectable food known to be delivered (perhaps second only to Chinese, but that’s usually takeout). Pizza delivery underpins an entire industry of delivery apps: Uber Eats, Door Dash, Seamless, Slice, Deliveroo.. almost more apps than pizza toppings to choose from!
The second option, for those made of sterner stuff, is going for pickup. This means walking out to grab yourself a slice or pie or even driving a few minutes to your local spot. Try a few different toppings. Maybe even add extra cheese? We suggest using your phone’s maps app - keywords ‘pizza near me’ should do the trick. Choose the best, closest spot and let it rip!
If you’re lucky enough to live by a slice shop, you can even waltz there and try the freshest stuff at the counter. Would recommend!

Your third and final option to shake the scaries: make the damn pizza yourself!
Now this option requires a bit more luck and/or advanced planning. You gotta have the ingredients, the wherewithal, the energy, the patience, and most importantly, the time!
Fortunately for you, just check out Bob’s recipe here for a personal pan pie. Believe it or not, I don’t make my own pizza that much at all. When I live on the doorstep of the greatest pizza capital in the world (sorry, not you New Haven!), there’s too much to sample that’s made by the experts.
So, dear reader, what’s it gonna be? 1, 2 or 3?

That pan pizza recipe looks killer.
